Your Account
- University IT Policy.
The Conditions of use of University Network gives full details on what you are permitted to do on the University's Computer networks.
- Accounts
You will have several accounts, each requiring a password. For convenience you may wish to simplify life by setting all to the same password.
- Email
You have an email account on the Hermes Mail system. You can easily access from any PWF , or via a web browser
- Backups
Any data that you save in your PWF network space is regularly backed up. You should keep copies of vital work on a memory stick.
- Quotas
Your default allocation of space on the PWF network is 500mb (true?). More is available by request from the Computing Service.
- Printing Accounts
In order to print to the PWF printers you will need toput some money into your Print Credit Account. You can do this via iPrint or Ecredit
- External Access
Access from outside the University Th Faculty's Centenary Server.
You can access your files, and run programs via this portal.Lapwing Wireless Service
Wireless Internet is available in the Marshall Library. You will need a laptop with WiFi, and a Raven password. More information about Lapwing is available from the University Computing Service's Information about the Lapwing service
