How do I connect to Lapwing

• Ensure that your wireless adapter or feature is enabled, and access the list of wireless networks in range.
  
• Select Lapwing from the list, and connect to the network. (It will appear to be unsecured).
  
• Open your internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera... but any modern browser should work) and try to access a non-secure web page, such as http://www.cam.ac.uk/. (If your browser goes straight to a home page, this will be sufficient).
  
• You will be taken automatically to the Lapwing login page, where you can log in with your Raven ID or Visitor Ticket.
  
• After logging in successfully, you need to click the “here” button to make the connection.
  

• The page you tried to visit will be opened in a new window (or tab), leaving the Lapwing page open as a 'keep-alive window'. Do not close it, or you will need to log in again.

And that's it! When you have finished, you can log out using the option on the Lapwing keep-alive window.
