The Marshall Library of Economics - Archives

The library has had an informal policy of collecting papers of economists with Cambridge connections since the 1930's. In addition there are the library's own archives and others from the Cambridge University Economic Club and the Marshall Society, founded in 1927 to consider matters of social or economic interest.

Access to the Archives collection is by prior appointment only. Visiting scholars are advised to consult the Librarian well in advance of their proposed visit and should note that the Library is closed for a week at Christmas and Easter, and also for two weeks during August. Visitors should note that access to the archive collection may not be possible at certain times during term when the Library is particularly busy, and also at certain times during vacations, particularly the summer vacation, when the library operates on a skeleton staff.

A letter of introduction and proof of ID are required.
